Our Country’s Future

Luckily, those of us in the Katy TEA Party live in the best state in the greatest country in the world!  Texas will undoubtedly vote against President Obama and his progressive, big government policies and out-of-control spending.  And, if for some unfortunate reason President Obama is re-elected, there are many in the state of Texas who will fight against his socialist agenda.

Please take time to talk with friends and family you may have living out of state, and try to convince them to vote for Governor Romney, especially if you have friends and family in Florida, Colorado, or Ohio.  Also, find a Senatorial candidate to support in these states, and go to FreedomWorks to phone bank for these patriots.  Everything you can do to help will matter.  We can, and we must, win this!

Darcy, Good to hear from you.  Let me tell you what I have been doing.  There is a website accessible via wallbuilders.com that will easily allow you to check to see if someone is registered to vote.  I’ve been using that website to check on all my family and friends, not only in those key states but everywhere.  Assuming I think they are conservative minded, I give them a call irregardless of what I find.  If they aren’t registered, I call them and remind them to register.  If they are registered, I call them to congratulate them for being registered and remind them to be sure and vote.  Then I ask them to do the same thing as I am doing and start checking on all their family and friends, especially any who live in the toss-up states.  But we can’t just focus on those states because you never know when someone in California, a lost cause, will know people in Colorado or Florida. One of the beauties of this is that no money is involved.  I’m not spending any (accept maybe for the calls) and I’m not asking the people I call for money.  Can you see how this could blossom into potentially thousands of additional votes in some of these key states where the result my be determined by a relatively small number of votes?   Again, thanks for your efforts! Ron Thompson
