Senate Gives Acorn A Slap on the Wrist

While you might think that the Senate defunding ACORN to the tune of $169 Billion out of next year’s housing budget and the Census cutting ties with ACORN is a big deal, it is only a small start. As the Reuters story reports “ACORN said the Senate’s action was disappointing but would have little impact on its overall operations.” Why such arrogance you may ask? Well the cut to ACORN only amounts to TWO PERCENT of the Eight Billion Dollars that they will receive from the Stimulus Bill.

Additionally, we have an US Attorney General in Eric Holder who is more interested in having an investigation into the CIA to appease our enemies than investigating ACORN which is a criminal activity that has been documented in a report by Rep. Issa the ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

We need to keep up the pressure to have Congress withdraw Stimulus Funds from ACORN. We must insist that both the House of Representatives and the Senate hold public hearings and launch a full investigation on this Criminal Organization. Also, we must mandate that the Justice Department represent every taxpayer in this country by investigating ACORN.

Call your member of Congress NOW!
Here’s the main number: 202-224-3121.
Do not become complacent about ACORN. The fight has just begun.
